Manchester United should do what they can to keep Paul Pogba happy at the club and build their team around him, according to Danny Higginbotham.
Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has been a constant source of speculation in recent weeks after the midfielder admitted that he would be open to a move away from Old Trafford this summer.
The 26-year-old has largely failed to live up to expectations since Manchester United broke the bank to bring the France international back to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016.
Real Madrid and Juventus have both been touted as possible destinations for the midfielder this summer but it remains to be seen what the future holds for the midfielder.
However, former defender Higginbotham believes that the Red Devils should do what they can to try and keep Pogba happy at Old Trafford and then consider building their team around the World Cup winner.
“Paul Pogba, I know a lot of people have given him a lot of negativity during the season and after what he came out and said last weekend but if you can get him to stay at Manchester United and be happy, he would be the type of player I would build the team around.
“But you have to have the players around him to allow him to go and express himself.”
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
