Milan reportedly consider a January move for Man United defender Bailly

Milan are considering a January move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, according to reports.

The Rossoneri have lost Mattia Caldara to a muscular injury, and he may not return until early February.

That has seen them linked with a number of centre-backs, including Rodrigo Caio and Thiago Silva.

Now ESPN FC is reporting that they are also interested in Bailly, depending on the fee United would ask for.

The centre-back has been publicly criticised by manager Jose Mourinho this season, and talks have yet to begin over a new contract.

While Bailly is happy at Old Trafford, he worries he has lost Mourinho’s confidence, the website reports.

Selling him outside of the Premier League would raise funds for the new centre-back Mourinho wants, while ensuring a rival isn’t strengthened.
