Manchester United and Leicester City are £40m apart in their valuation of England defender Harry Maguire, according to a report in England.
ESPN is reporting that the Red Devils aren’t close to Leicester’s £80m valuation of the powerful center-half as Manchester United look to improve their defense this summer.
The same article states that the 20-time English champions only value Maguire at around £40m, which is significantly short of Leicester’s asking price for the center-half.
According to the same story, Manchester United could face competition from Manchester City for the former Hull City defender in the current transfer window.
ESPN goes on to state that Manchester United have already discarded plans to sign Ajax center-half Matthijs de Ligt due to the 19-year-old’s lavish price tag.
