Manchester United are set to prioritize signing Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Manchester United have earmarked Wan-Bissaka as their ideal signing to reinforce the right-back spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
The same article states that Manchester United have already failed with £35m and £40m offers for the England Under-21 international since the end of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
According to the same story, the Red Devils are finding it difficult to get a deal over the line due to Wan-Bissaka’s participation in the Under-21 European Championship in Italy and San Marino.
The Manchester Evening News go on to add that Paris Saint-German defender Thomas Muenier is their back-up option should a deal for Wan-Bissaka prove too difficult to complete.
Solskjaer is set to be linked with a host of different players in the summer transfer window as the Manchester United manager looks to revamp his squad ahead of the new season.
The Red Devils allowed Ecuador veteran Antonio Valencia to leave the club on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho signed Portuguese youngster Diogo Dalot to improve his full-back options last summer.
