Manchester United have reportedly been in touch with Brazilian side Fluminense over their 21-year-old striker Pedro.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, United officials have contacted the club about the Brazilian who was a target for Real Madrid last year.
They say Pedro was close to joining the Spanish giants before sustaining a cruciate knee ligament injury that required him to undergo surgery.
AS reported last November that should Pedro make a full recovery, Real will return with an offer in the region of £20m for him.
He has scored twice in six matches since regaining fitness.
Inter Milan, Atalanta and Bordeaux have also reportedly scouted the striker, who was set to make his Brazil debut last August before getting injured.
His withdrawal from the squad paved the way for Everton’s Richarlison to win his first call-up.
