Juventus planning Pogba return in January with loan deal

Juventus are reportedly plotting Paul Pogba’s return, and are ready to offer Manchester United a deal that would see him arrive in January.

The midfielder became the most expensive player in the world when he left the Bianconeri in 2016, returning to Old Trafford for €105m plus €5m in bonuses after moving the opposite way for only a development fee.

His return to England hasn’t worked out as planned though, and the Frenchman has a difficult relationship with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho.

This morning’s Tuttosport claims Juve want to bring Pogba back to Turin, and are working to do a deal in January.

That would involve taking the 25-year-old on loan for six months, with an obligation to buy in the summer for a fee in excess of €70m.

UEFA has abolished the ‘cup-tied’ rule, so Pogba could play for Juventus in the Champions League if he were to join in January.

If Manchester United are unwilling to do business mid-season the Bianconeri could try again in the summer, sacrificing left-back Alex Sandro to raise the funds.
