There goes the final whistle and what a result that is for Solskjaer’s Reds. Two first-half goals are enough to see United progress to the last eight of the Emirates FA Cup for the fifth successive season.
First-half headers by Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba helped Manchester United knock holders Chelsea out of the Emirates FA Cup.
Herrera nodded home Pogba’s in-swinging cross from the left to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side the lead on 31 minutes.
A resurgent Pogba then converted Marcus Rashford’s delicious delivery from the opposite side on the stroke of half time to ultimately seal United’s place in the last eight.
