Manchester United’s Player of the Month nominees for September have been announced, with three players in the running for the award.
The trio contesting the accolade are Scott McTominay, who netted his first senior goal at Old Trafford during Monday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, our youngest-ever European scorer Mason Greenwood and the winner of the August award, Daniel James.
After a month in which we kept clean sheets against Leicester City and FC Astana, Harry Maguire and David De Gea were unlucky to narrowly miss out on a place in our poll, as was Axel Tuanzebe, who captained the Reds for the first time in the Carabao Cup clash with Rochdale and filled in impressively at left-back during the Arsenal draw.
Will James claim the award for the second consecutive month, or will one of the Academy graduates, McTominay or Greenwood, be recognised?
